Did you know that up to 85% of those who suffer from IBS are dealing with an underlying infection in the gut called SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)?
By addressing the root cause of IBS (SIBO) by using our 12-week Gut Restore Program, we have seen an 85% success rate in clearing IBS symptoms and reducing, if not eliminating food intolerances.
The gold standard test for identifying if someone is suffering from SIBO is the lactulose breath test (SIBO breath test).
This is a simple test you can do yourself in the comfort of your own home. The test can be shipped anywhere in the US or Canada.
Then results of this test will indicate what type of infection you have (methane or hydrogen (there is a third type called hydrogen sulphide which can't be picked up in testing. The results usually flatline with that type and that itself can be an indication of what you're dealing with)).
Methane based bacteria usually present more with constipation. Hydrogen based bacteria usually present with lose stool. There is often a mix of both types of bacteria in the gut leading to alternating constipation and loose stool. Hydrogen sulphide infections usually present with constipation and very foul smelling gas.
The test will also show us how much of an overgrowth you have. More than 20 ppm (ppm = the way we measure the infection) indicates you may need more than 1 round of the program to rid yourself of the infection. It's a great way to determine how long of a treatment protocol you may need to prepare for.
The kit takes 2-3 business days to arrive at your home and there is prepaid shipping included for the return of kit as well as detailed instructions on how to complete the test.
It takes 2-3 weeks to get the results which the results will be sent to us first then interpreted with you over the phone to discuss potential next steps. We will contact you when the result are in to schedule a call. You will get a copy of the results for your records.
